Making Audit More Efficient and Resilient
Join us for a timely discussion of a new approach to handling your annual audit, one well suited to today’s challenges. Learn how organizations can overcome challenges inherent in conventional audit practices that involve face-to-face interaction between auditors and clients, built on a long-running series of requests for information and clarifications. We will discuss a way to give auditors just about all the data they need on Day 1 of your audit – data that is timely and comprehensive - using a new approach to the annual audit that is resilient in the face of operational interruptions and physical isolation.
We'll also explore responses to aspects of the COVID-19 pandemic that are presenting substantial challenges to business continuity and revealing long-standing and unrecognized vulnerabilities in finance and accounting.
We'll be discussing all this with Robert Kugel, who heads up the Office of Finance and Business research at Ventana Research. His research agenda focusing on the intersection of information technology with the finance organization and business, including the application of IT to finance and business process optimization – particularly continuous accounting and continuous planning. Prior to joining Ventana Research he was an equity research analyst at several firms including Credit Suisse First Boston Corporation, Morgan Stanley, and Drexel Burnham, and a consultant with McKinsey and Company.
